Virtualisation Validation of over 200 Transmission Variants on Pc
نویسنده
چکیده
Transmission control units are often developed and calibrated for dozens or hundreds of vehicle variants. Not every possible variant is physically realised during development. Even the simulation of all variants on a HiL becomes infeasible with growing number of variants, since at least the control unit must then be physically realised and integrated into the HiL system. In such variant-rich cases, simulation of the entire system, including the control unit, becomes particularly attractive. Daimer, QTronic and Vector describe how Mercedes-Benz currently uses virtual ECUs to validate transmission control software for about 200 variants of the Sprinter series in a highly automated way on Windows PC. متن کاملEfficient space virtualisation for Hoshen--Kopelman algorithm
In this paper the efficient space virtualisation for Hoshen–Kopelman algorithm is presented. We observe minimal parallel overhead during computations, due to negligible communication costs. The proposed algorithm is applied for computation of random-site percolation thresholds for four dimensional simple cubic lattice with sites’ neighbourhoods containing next-next-nearest neighbours (3NN). The...
متن کاملModelling the power consumption and trade-offs of virtualised cloud radio access networks
In large-scale computing centres, the advancement of knowledge in regard to the predicted power consumption (PC) and concerns of host servers that run virtual machines (VMs) could improve the capacity planning and networks’ energy efficiency. A parameterised power model is proposed to explore the individual components within the virtualisation-based cloud radio access network. The model evaluat...
متن کاملVM-FIT: Supporting Intrusion Tolerance with Virtualisation Technology
The use of virtualisation technology on modern standard PC hardware has become popular in the recent years. This paper presents the VM-FIT architecture, which uses virtualisation for realising fault and intrusion tolerant networkbased services. The VM-FIT infrastructure intercepts the client–service interaction at the hypervisor level, below the guest operating system that hosts a service imple...
متن کاملPerformance of Absorptive Material Liners on Noise Transmission Loss in Mufflers used by Goods Carrying Tricycles
Due to increase in the number of goods carrying tricycles, the amount of noise and pollution on our roads has increased. To optimize the control of the engine noise emission for tricycle, different absorptive material liners have been introduced into muffler design. In this study, the performance of Aerogel, Ceramic, Kenaf fibre, Polyester and Rockwool as absorptive material liners on the trans...
